HoldPixel
Frequently asked

Everything you're probably wondering.

What happens when my license expires? +

Badges keep running with the last version you published. The display does not turn off, and there is no "renew your license" overlay. Only the action of publishing new versions is blocked. Renew when you need to — credits don't expire (except the yearly one).

What is the minimum order? +

10 badges for the standard model. We have a 5-unit Mini Pack at €349 for pilots and internal trials before committing to a larger order.

How long does shipping take? +

Orders up to 100 badges: 2-3 weeks from confirmation, including 3D-print customization. Larger orders: we plan it together, usually 4-6 weeks.

What's the warranty? +

2 years against manufacturing defects. Direct replacement. The battery has a 1-year warranty (it is consumable).

Returns? +

30 days for non-customized orders. Orders with case customization or pre-printed branding don't accept returns unless defective.

GDPR-compliant? +

Yes. Badges don't collect personally identifiable data: they work with anonymous IDs mapped to the attendee profile, and matching happens in the panel. No microphone, no camera. Backend hosted on EU infrastructure.

Does it integrate with our CRM or HR systems? +

We have a REST API to import attendee lists and export engagement data. Native Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations are on the roadmap.

Event-day support? +

For 50+ orders we include a dedicated Slack/Teams channel during the event. For 200+ we offer an on-site technician option (separate quote).

What's exactly inside each badge? +

AMOLED device, 2000 mAh battery, lanyard, USB-C charging cable, individual box. Case customization depending on order.

How long does the battery last? +

12-16 hours of heavy use (with animations and games). 3-4 days idle in clock mode. Charges in ~90 min.

Which languages? +

Badge interface: Spanish and English out-of-the-box. Other languages on request (any Latin-alphabet language is trivial). Cloud panel: ES/EN.

Brand customization? +

Screen-printed case, color, boot logo, UI color palette, GIFs and templates with your brand. All included at no extra cost for 50+ orders.

How is it different from Slido or Mentimeter? +

Slido/Mentimeter are apps that live on the attendee's phone. HoldPixel is a physical device the attendee takes home. More memorable, more in-person, works without a phone, survives the event as a functional souvenir.

And vs. Klik, PixMob or Captag? +

They rent all-in-one packs per event (200+ minimums, per-unit-per-day pricing). We sell the hardware (it's yours) and publishing licenses you control from the panel. Better fit for companies running several events per year.

OTA / updates? +

Yes. Beacons distribute firmware and content via ESP-NOW. Badge software upgrades are free and apply automatically when there is an active license.

Do attendees need to install an app? +

No. There is an optional webapp for the phone with the agenda and live Q&A, but you open it from a physical QR printed at the venue — no login, no install. Runs on any browser. And the whole badge system keeps working even if no attendee opens the webapp.

How does live Q&A work? +

During a talk, attendees can submit questions from the phone webapp and upvote ▲ others. The moderator (your operator) sees the top ones in real time and marks which have been answered. Anonymous by design (optional alias), one vote per device, no cross-talk tracking.
